Audi hamilton race week and where to from here?

Home from race week and what an awsome time we had....Best call i heard for the week was "this is pretty much just schoolies for yachties" and that it was! a weeklong celebration of sailing on an exotic island with rich boats rich cars and gorgeous women all round. The wind didnt really work the way we wanted it too but we still got a few days out foiling and alot of interest and it made for awsome conversation at night time at the bar..... I think we all vowed to return next year wether we're sailing or not! Well now back to reality..... Start work next monday with another mining company which should be good and im sure ill be very much over inductions come next friday. We have our local club opening of the season this weekend which is always good fun providing it isnt light like last year. Perth is all booked and should be fun regardless of how many boats turn up and i'm looking forward to what hopefully will be a breezy regatta. Now hopefully we can get some boats to turn up for sail Brisbane and spark some more interest in Queensland! Hamo race week

On Hamilton with myself Dave Barnes, Ben rankine and Rohan veal. Managed to finnally get out yesterday late afternoon with rigging space limited and pain in the arse event stickers to be put on we got out there and put on a demo for everyone at the yachtclub, and passing yachts coming back into the harbour. The heat is here is insane even for a queenslander im feeling it. We had around 10 knots. Boat didnt feel well setup at alll and either did i! But still had fun and had a good gybe battle with Dave down the shore right infront of the club which wowed the crowds and was good fun. Day 1 of airlie

must say its such an awsome place but the order for breeze is a tad bit late or simply...just not coming? Myself and ben rigged up and checked all the fittings to make sure nothing had come loose on the trip. Decided its be a good idea to put a screwdriver into my hand whilst unscrewing my tiller....were off to a flying start! no breeze, sore hand but atleast the suns out, beers cold and the company is um quite nice as in foreign backpackers walking passed in bikinis as were rigging our boats.....cant complain there. Were off to Hamilton race week to do some sailing with rohan tomorrow so we'll see how that goes apparently there is chance of afternoon sea breeze...fingers crossed.

My girl is home

Finally the boat is home. I went and picked it up from Queensland Yachtcraft today and she looks fantastic. Nedless to say i have spent most of the day running over everything replacing ropes and suss looking pins and what not and slowly putting her back together. She is now red ontop which is a sexy new look for her. Im still waiting on the wingbars to be touched up but should have them in the next few days :) gave her a light buff followed by a wash then polish to get or the grime and whatnot off her so shes super slick. I am super happy to have her back and cannot wait to jump on her again.

Accomodation for hamilton is sorted, thanks Ben!!!! and should be a really fun regatta with lots of sprint races and the occasional beer or two or eight.
